My name is Jin-Yeob (Charlye) Lee. I am a performance creator working in collaboration with the Hi Seoul Festival.
I am writing to you as we are looking for participants to get involved in our ‘flash performance’ on the 6th of May. The involvement is really simple and do not require to know or understand korean.
We want people to have a new experience and enjoying art performance through simple participation. It will be fun and also will help to create a new art movement in favor of water and the environment.
We are wondering that maybe some people in your community would be interested to be part of this unique experience.
I have attached 2 documents to give more details of what we are looking for and what this is all about.
If you think it would be a great opportunity for the people in your community, please do not hesitate to pass the information around. We would really appreciate and we are looking forward to have some of your people joining us.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like more information.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Best regards,
Charlye Lee
I am Kon Yi, Korean theatre director, Columbia MFA directing graduate. I am trying to cast English speaking male actor for ALCESTIS.
I am in the process of making a play ‘Alcestis’ by Euripides in September in Seoul 대학로 Dae Hak Roh. It’s a professional theater and I need an actor for the role of Heracles. It’s a multe-ethnic production. There will be a Chinese Alcestis and American Heracles. I think it would be better if an actor can play any music instrument.
I am adapting the play into Korean and apply Korean political situation on it. Rehearsal starts from mid July and performance will be August 31 – September 11. There will be a preparation process for collaboration work before the rehearsal starts.
I think it will be a great experience to show new provocative play to professional Dae-hak-no Theater in Seoul. Let me know if you are interested in this project or comes to mind/feel free to pass along to people who are awesome.
Please contact Kon Yi with any questions or interest in the piece at konyi93@gmail.com or 010.2958.5672
Sincerely,
Kon Yi
