We are thrilled to announce auditions for not one but two fall productions: Rocky Horror and The Shape of Things. Both rounds of auditions will be taking place on Saturday, September 1st and Sunday, September 2nd from 12:00-4:00 in Itaewon.
The Shape of Things, by Neil Labute, is a modern romantic/comedy/drama that questions the nature of art, intimacy, psychopathy, and love. We are looking for 2 male and 2 female actors who can play mid 20s. Auditions will be by cold read (no preparation necessary), and will be held at the Wellbeing Studio in Itaewon. Please see the facebook event for complete information.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, by Richard O’Brien, is the original cult classic. We are looking for actors and dancers of all ages and genders, who can sass it up and look great in fishnets to be part of our Shadow Cast for a performance and screening at Halloween. Auditions will be held at Moonnight in Itaewon. At your audition you will learn a short dance routine (no preparation necessary, please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in). Please see the facebook event for complete information.
Auditions will be held in 1-hour time slots (12:00-1, 1:00-2, 2:00-3, 3:00-4). The Shape of Things will hold callbacks on Sunday, September 2nd from 4:00-6:00. There will be no callbacks for Rocky Horror.
To schedule an audition for one (or both!) of these fine fine shows, email us at auditions@seoulplayers.com letting us know which show(s) you are interested in auditioning for, which day you would like to come, and which time slot you prefer.
Since both auditions are in the Itaewon area, performers are more than welcome to audition for both productions, and to be cast in both (if you like being busy!)
Seoul Players and Pennyfield Productions are thrilled to announce auditions for their Spring 2012 production of Eve Ensler’s THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, now in its 14th year! Rehearsals for our production will begin late February, and the show will run weekends May 4th-12th.
Auditions:
Saturday February 4 : 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sunday February : 2:00 – 5:00 pm
*if you are unable to attend the scheduled audition times, we may be able to schedule a separate audition to meet your schedule.
Location: Moonnight (formerly Club After) in Itaewon.
V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM), and sex slavery.
Due to the individual process required for actors and minimal amount of group scenes, each actress will only be called for rehearsal 1-2 times a week. The last week of April will require a greater amount of evening and weekend commitment.
We are looking for actresses of all ages, ethnicity, shape and experience. Strong voices, comic timing, compassion, an open mind and fearlessness are key for these roles.

Hello lovers and those interested in Seoul Players. There is a casting call for a new short film from the mind of director Edward Burgos. Please respond to Mr. Burgos at enano@enanoski.com with a headshot if interested. Read on for the full casting call.
Dear Thespians,
I am very excited to announce a casting call for PERFECT. This is the adaptation of a short story by writer Adam Walsh into a short film by the people who brought you The Right Mark as well as And The Nights Were Singing, winner of the Seoul 48hr Film Contest best special effects category.
Set in the not too distant future, PERFECT is the story of Paul who we first meet enjoying a lazy day with what we assume is his new girlfriend. Paul is a moderately successful man, but he seems to have lucked out with Luz. Out of his league you might say. He begins to reminisce about his previous relationship with Aurora, though like many of us after a break up he seems jaded and soured by the experience. We begin to realize that not all is as it seems and that this earlier relationship may have ended tragically or even violently. Eventually, we discover that nothing was what it seemed and that these “girls” are something else entirely…
